Irish lunch

Ha! Managed to get a free lunch today! Was supposed to meet up with IL today but we cancelled at last minute. Like 5min after I cancelled with IL, I got a call from Mike who wondered if I was up for lunch at the pub. Mike nicely enough paid for it because I now have only £20 left to my name. It was like a date but with a friend, haha! I dont know Mike that well, but he is at least as nerdy as I am, so we have always gotten along good (like he’s started jousting training now which I think is cool but “normal” people probably wouldnt). So thank you Mike for lunch!

Yesterday I ended up at Nandos, its my kind of secret fav. I love Nandos but it can be a bit pikey. Regardless, me and AJ managed to get 4 beers and food for £30, not bad at all! I almost got excited over their loyalty card and by then I knew it was time to go home.

Today I should have written my CV, but instead i choose lunch, a bit of cleaning up and then watching “The Nephew”. “The Nephew” is about a grumpy slightly racist man living on a small island outside of Ireland when his nephew (thereof the name, very clever!), the son of his dead sister, comes along and “shakes things up in the village”. Not only because he’s black (oh, no!) he’s also American and have dreadlocks (the horror!) and of course he falls in love with the pub owners daughter which is not liked at all by her father or “Uncle Tony” the grumpy man. The pub owner happens to be Pierce Brosnan and him and Uncle Tony has a 25yr old feud going on. Its well worth watching if you want some sort of sloppy drama with small village changed by newcomer. The winningvpoint is the irish accent they all have. Though I think that if one would go to a small Irish island, one would not understand a word of what they are saying. Ive been to the Irish countryside and even though my english is quite good, sometimes i couldnt understand a word. Ah, Ireland! Come to think about it, its incredibly easy to not write your CV sometimes. I need to get a grip!
