Ebay frenzy
So it happened again…even though Im supposed to SAVE my money now (due to lack of job) I seem to spend more than I should. It all started with my walk to the post office today. I was just going there and back, nothing else! But when I was on my way back I remembered the new table cloth I had ordered from ebay yesterday and got delivered just before I left this morning. And while I was thinking about that I realised that I needed some nice cushions as well…so I went in to a furniture store and managed to pick up a cushion and some linen napkins (they where on SALE people!) feeling like a proper wife, buying textiles. Anyway when I got home I realised that I had some left over fabric stuffed away somewhere so I got that out and went to ebay to see if I could find an inner cushion that I could sew a cover for. I ended up bidding/buying four pieces of William Morris fabric (such and middle age thing to do!), one sewing kit (I dont own a sewing machine and I like sewing by hand) a jade bracelet (an exact copy of a bracelet that I bought in Vietnam but lost on my second day in London) there I paid maybe 50p at the most for it, here they wanted £4! Outrageous! Anyway, Im quite sure I was bidding on a few other items as well, this HAS to stop!
Soon Im going to buy porcelain cats from ebay because I think “they will go nice with the flat”. Which they wont! I hate porcelain animals! AJ had a set of porcelain piggy banks in the form of pigs with clothes on them which he got when he was a kid. They are apparently worth a bit of money now, but I assured him that they where much better off locked in a cupboard than on display in the flat. Not that AJ really wanted them out, but I really think they are hideous!
So anyway, I need to be stopped! Not only because my economy cant take it much longer, also because I will end up with weird pieces that I will never use for anything and probably hate. Oh, well, I know Im not alone in this..IL, ya know what Im talking about!
