My TV evening

I saw a documentary on Channel 4 (I think) yesterday called Rich Kid, Poor Kid about the differences in society. They where interviewing one rich kid who had grown up in a 6 bedroom house in the nicest part of Clapham and who went to Eaton. The other kid (kid, and kid, they where both around 16-17) lived in a council flat thats seen better days with her mum and her brother. The houses lay about 10 min walk from eachother, but still theese girls have never met.
I understand the thought of the whole documentary. Two different worlds brought together and where they really so different and so on but all I could think of was, yes it is insane that Britain, who is suposed to be a rich country has so big differences between rich and poor, but both of the girls were whiny little well…bitches. I dont want to come of wrong here, they where both about 16-17 and who isnt a whiny little bitch around that age anyway? I certainly was.

It was just insane, seeing the poor girl trying to get a job and support her unemployed mom and little brother, living in a councilflat and then go over to the rich girl who didnt think they were rich at all, cause to be rich “you have to have at least a few milions in the bank” and apparently they only had 1-2 milions in the bank. Ah, life is hard. I dont blame her thou, its all about the uppbringing. Her mom where talking about the dangerous “blacks” who would stab you if you went by the councilflats. And, sure, that was racist, but I promise you, if she would have met a black (if thats allowed to say anymore) family who had 7milion pounds in the bank and was living in say, Westminster, I doubt that she would have a problem with them. Its not only a thing about racism between “races” (and I write “races” cause i dont belive in “races” when it comes to human beings), its about racism between rich and poor. All the predjudices that we have. In sweden, I dont think they are as big as they are here, cause its better to be “poor” in Sweden than in the UK. Ok, Im not saying its easy to be poor in sweden, that would just be wrong, but comparing to the UK, its easier. And off course we are full of predjudices as well, but it seems to be worse here and thats not surprising cause the gaps are worse here.

Anyway, enough about that! Then I watched Russel Brands Ponderland. And what a load of shit! I used to like Russel Brand, I used to think he was funny, but now? And no, this has nothing to do withe the Brand/Ross story. That was childish but what could you expect from them? Russel is Russel and Jonathan Ross clibing on 50 yrs now, is desperatly trying to hold on to the top and is doing that by hanging on to Brand who is still there.
Anyway, I used to like Russel Brand. I used to think he was funny. But now? All that he does is scream very loudly like a kid and talk about masturbating. And the thing is, hes always done that. I used to cry of laughter about what this man said and the fact that he had no boundaries. But that desperate screaming voice. It looks like he now is the one who is trying everything in his power to stay ontop. And maybe he things “well, if I start screaming LOUDER, then people would find me funnier??” Tone it down Russel, be good again, cause this is hardly your best! I belive in you!

Shit, I forgot! I have work to do!

See ya!
